History

Medicinos Bankas is a financial institution, providing banking services to private persons and business customers.

The bank started its activities on 24 November 1992 in Vilnius City. From 1995, the principal office of the bank is located in Vilnius, Pamėnkalnio Street 40.

The bank performs activities of commercial bank: accepts deposits, grants loans, carries out monetary and documentary settlements, exchanges currencies, grants guarantees to its clients.

Presently the bank has service divisions in entire Lithuania. 51 client service divisions are established in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, Marijampolė and Tauragė counties. In addition to this, the bank services its clients in 6 branches and 31 currency exchange points.

The main clients of the bank include small and small and medium enterprises, and private persons.

Medicinos Bankas was among the first banks in Lithuania to offer Internet banking services.

The main shareholder of the bank Saulius Karosas holds 87.82 % shares of the Medicinos Bankas. Western Petroleum Ltd. 9.87 % and other shareholders hold 2.31 % of the bank’s authorised capital respectively.
