This year Medicinos bankas rapidly develops cooperation with companies providing services of online payments for goods and services and also offers its clients especially favourable conditions for the use of these services.

In Lithuania, according to research, in 2011 more than one-fifth (21,3 %) of the Internet users ordered goods and services online. People, saving time and money, purchase a bus or a plane ticket online, order a television or a computer from an online store, order pizza, pay utility fees and pay for other services.

„For Medicinos bankas clients who use services of online stores, transactions via Medicinos bankas account are for free“, – says Vaida Stamburaitė, Director of Business development department of Medicinos bankas.

There are about 70 % of residents in Lithuania using the Internet and online payments for goods and services become more popular in virtual space. The most important trend - an increase of the Internet users among older people and residents of small towns and rural areas.

According to V. Stamburaitė, the bank‘s cooperation with online stores and companies of online services already gets a favourable evaluation from customers, this is the reason why this activity is expanded. Currently, the bank‘s IT programmes are combined with new partners – two mobile network companies. After testing works are completed, the bank‘s clients already this month will be able to fill SIM card accounts without any extra bank fees.

The goal of Medicinos bankas – to expand payment options to its clients, e.g. provide with a range of services in order the client would be able easily and safely to pay for various goods and purchases online.
