The first week of November will see the opening of the first wellness and SPA complex “Atostogų Parkas” (Holiday Park) in Western Lithuania. Situated at a short distance from Palanga, the complex will accommodate 400 visitors at a time. Total investments in the project co-financed by Medicinos Bankas amounted to EUR 5.56 million.
It is expected that the tourist and wellness complex will attract not only Lithuanian visitors but also people from neighboring European and Eastern countries. The complex which will be open to visitors all year round occupies an area of 8,000 sq. meters. The entertainment complex will also offer a swimming pool with under-water fitness equipment and firewood-heated floors. Adrenaline enthusiasts will have a chance to enjoy outdoor swimming pools.
The establishment of the wellness and SPA centre was funded from European Union assistance funds in the amount of EUR 2.8 million; Medicinos Bankas co-financed the project with EUR 1.7 million. The new complex will offer jobs to 70 people.
