Medicinos Bankas is a socially responsible financial partner!

Global agreement

​Medicinos Bankas, UAB in 2005 joined the international initiative – the Global Compact, which encourages businesses to pursue their activities on the basis of ten universal principles – human rights, workers' rights and environmental protection – and contribute to the fight against corruption.

Aspiration

We believe that the ten principles of this initiative are very important in order to create a long-term value for the bank clients, the team and the shareholders!

The principles of the Global Compact are aimed at business enterprises to:

  • Promote and respect international human rights protection within its sphere of influence

  • Do not get involved in human rights abuses

  • Support the freedom of association and recognise the right to effective joint negotiations

  • Eliminate any compulsory or forced labour

  • Eliminate child labour

  • Eliminate discrimination related to employment and occupation

  • Support preventive programs for environmental protection

  • Take initiatives to increase environmental responsibility

  • Promote development and spread of environmentally friendly technologies

  • Fight against all forms of corruption

Traditions

Medicinos Bankas contributes to the promotion of the artistic development of society and engagement of children and young people, supporting the Saulius Karosas Charity and Support Foundation and maintaining relationship with the State Vilnius Quartet.

About the foundation

Saulius Karosas Charity and Support Foundation was founded in 1998. Within two dozen years of the Foundation's activity, it has become an integral part of the Lithuanian art development. The Foundation has co-funded and enabled young musicians to study at prestigious western European and US high school arts schools.
